Unscroll – Adatvédelmi tájékoztató / Privacy Policy

What data do we collect? Unscroll has no servers and no accounts of its own, uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and sends no data about how you use it to us or to any third party. The only exception is the subscription and purchase (see below).

Subscription and purchase. Unscroll subscriptions (including the free trial) and the one-time lifetime purchase are handled by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details. To check and restore purchases, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.). RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous identifier created by the app, the purchase details (which plan, when, at what price and in what currency, and the App Store receipt) and basic technical data (iOS and app version, App Store country, IP address). It does not receive your name, email address, Instagram account or usage statistics, and this data is not used for tracking or advertising. RevenueCat acts as our data processor; its privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.

Signing in. You sign in directly on the Instagram website, inside an Apple WebKit browser view built into the app. Unscroll's own code does not run at all on the sign-in, sign-up, password and security-check pages: you see them exactly as Instagram serves them. Unscroll never sees or stores your password or login details. Login cookies are stored by your device's browser engine, just as in a web browser.

Multiple accounts. If you sign in with more than one Instagram account, Unscroll keeps each account's sign-in (its instagram.com login cookies) encrypted in the iPhone's Keychain, on this device only, so you can switch between accounts without signing in again. Your password is never stored. This data never leaves the device and is not transferred to other devices or backups. Removing an account (press and hold it in the account switcher) deletes its sign-in, and "Delete data on this iPhone" deletes all of them. If you delete the app, iOS may keep leftovers in the Keychain; Unscroll removes them the first time it starts after being installed again.

Communication with Instagram. The app loads the Instagram website and only changes, on your device, what that page shows (for example, it hides the feed). Unscroll does not request data from Instagram on your behalf. This data flows directly between your device and Instagram. Instagram is governed by Meta's privacy policy: https://privacycenter.instagram.com/policy

Data stored on your device. Daily statistics (time spent in the app, also by hour of day, how many times you opened it, and how many times the feed was blocked) and settings are stored only on your device and never leave it. Deleting the app deletes them.

Notifications. Unscroll only uses local notifications and has no server of its own. If you turn it on, the app icon shows your number of unread Instagram messages. The app reads this count from the Instagram page's title while it is open. You can also choose a daily check-in reminder at a time you pick, and the focus timer can tell you when it ends. All of this stays on your device and can be turned off at any time on the Insights screen or in iOS Settings.

Camera and microphone. Access is requested only when you take a photo, record a video or a voice message in Instagram's interface. Recordings go directly to Instagram; Unscroll does not save them or send them anywhere else.

Deleting your data. You can delete everything Unscroll stores on this iPhone (statistics, settings, saved accounts and sign-ins) at any time: About & Legal → Delete data on this iPhone. This does not affect your Instagram account, which you manage in Instagram's own settings. Your purchases stay with your Apple ID and come back with "Restore purchases". To have the purchase data kept by RevenueCat deleted, email us at the address below.

Your rights. Under the GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of data about you, and object to its processing. Your statistics and settings exist only on your phone, so you can delete them yourself in the app at any time; send requests about purchase data to unscrollinfo@gmail.com. You can lodge a complaint with the Hungarian data protection authority (NAIH, www.naih.hu) or the authority in your country of residence.

Children. The app is not directed at children. Instagram requires users to be at least 13 years old.

Changes. If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page.
